The Rock at the Center
Unique & Spiritual works of art
The Al Sakhrah Jewelry Collection is particularly special and meaningful. It is named for the Sakhrat Al Miraj, “Al Sakhrah”, on the top of Al-Haram Al-Sharif \ Rock Mountain, the Center of the World, according to the beliefs of the three major monotheistic faiths.
Every exquisite piece of handcrafted jewelry is made from stones embedded with gold, like the gold-capped Dome of the Rock, and diamonds, as strong as faith itself, into beautiful pendants, necklaces, rings and earrings, as well as unique and spiritual works of art.
Such precious creations are steeped with meaning, artistry and value – ideal for yourself and for gift-giving.
Al Sakhra is revered as the place where God created the world and its first humans, Adam and Eve and is believed to be the site where Abraham was prepared to sacrifice his son in an act of faith.
In the Moslem tradition, Al Sakhra is the “Noble Rock” from which the Prophet Mohammad ascended to the seventh heaven – a journey which would see the prophet receive new doctrines, directly from God, for the faith of Islam.
Al Sakhra is protected by the Dome of the Rock, قبة الصخرة Qubbat aṣ-Ṣakhra, the iconic gold-capped Islamic shrine at the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem, dominating the City’s skyline.

A Designer from the Source
Avi Tavisal was born in 1952 in Jerusalem, the seventh generation of his family to be born in the Holy City and the second generation to possess the skills and artistry to undertake a livelihood in the jewelry profession.
A lifetime member of the Diamond Exchange and a pioneer in the local jewelry industry, Tavisal is the founder and owner of IDC, a leading fine jewelry and diamonds brand with a reputation worldwide.
“The concept for Al Sakhra began 20 years ago on a trip to Geneva. A friend showed me his garden, decorated with rocks symbolizing significant personal or historical events. He pondered for a moment and said, ‘You are from Israel – from Jerusalem – and I am missing a sacred stone from Jerusalem!’ tells Tavisal.
The Story of Creation
It took several years to devise a method allowing the natural and soft rock to safely hold the precious gold and diamonds. Once this challenge was solved, the creative work began.
Everyone who wears Al Sakhra jewelry feels the powerful connection between the Foundations of the World and their faith, and the design, value and vision of the collection.
Since the signing of the Abrahamic Agreements, awareness of the Al Sakhra Collection has spread rapidly throughout the globe – and particularly in the Arab World – and demand for this distinctive line of Islamic jewelry from the Holy City of Jerusalem has vastly increased.
People all over the world rejoice at the opportunity to wear close to their hearts jewelry from the Holy City the Center of the World and one of Islam’s holiest cities.
